Shot during anti-Iraq war/anti-Bush/Cheney protests, this video now serves as a good riddance gesture to the past 8 years of hell inflicted upon humanity by the Bush Crime Family. May justice be served and may we one day see these criminals in prison for war crimes. Here's to a new hope for a better world where peace, love and compassion reign supreme!!

About Freedom People

Freedom People is the musical love child of Brad Stanfield & Periel Marr, who, in the spirit of John Lennon & Yoko Ono, bring the message of Peace and Love through music.

Spurred on by their opposition to the war and occupation in Iraq, they began as a raw acoustic folk act and evolved into an energetically grooving rock & roll force to be reckoned with. Though their music has party vibe, the song subjects and lyrics go beyond the standard party rock fare and into the realm of the socio-political and psycho-spiritual. Song titles such as New (R)evolution and People, Let's Stop the War express their belief in that war is an antiquated method of conflict resolution while titles like Karma and Be Here Now delve into the realm of universal love for a rock and roll trip "down the rabbit hole" toward higher consciousness.

The duo's live show is electrifying and has a theatrical flare with Periel unleashing her commanding stage presence and Brad jamming his on guitar "balls to the wall" while colorful psychedelic screen projections round out a full sensory overload experience.

After so many years of protesting the immoral and illegal actions of the Bush/Cheney regime, Brad & Periel are glad to taking a collective breath of fresh air with the rest of the world. They are strong supporters of Representative Dennis Kucinich's proposal for a Department of Peace and look forward with admiration and renewed hope toward Barack Obama's presidency. The flag on their CD cover had previously been upside down in the international symbol of distress and though it's clear that America is still in distress (thanks to Bush/Cheney et al) they have turned it right side up to express their prayer and belief that despite the obstacles, better times are ahead for the U.S and the world.

Heaven and Earth	Oct 7 2009 6:08 AM Hi Freedom People, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others. This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace!
