Rescue wolves & wolfdogs, and provide them a place of safety, love and care.
Educate the public about the nature of wolves (dispel the myths of evil), and explain why wolves and wolfdogs are not recommended for pets.
WHY A WOLF SANCTUARY?
There is a dire need in Oklahoma for Freedom's Song Wolf Rescue & Sanctuary
Welcome to Freedom's Song Wolf Rescue & Sanctuary. Our website is still under construction, but it still contains a tremendous amount of information that can discovered. (http://www.freedomssong.org/)
In the entire state of Oklahoma, there is not one wolf sanctuary. There are some exotic animal sanctuaries that have some wolves and wolfdogs, but not a sanctuary devoted totally to wolves and wolfdogs. There is a dire need in this state for Freedom's Song Wolf Rescue & Sanctuary.
For example, one nearby rehab facility for native species (mostly woodland creatures) receives an average of 25 calls annually from individuals needing to place wolves/wolfdogs. This facility is not equipped for this purpose and so refers these calls to other organizations. This is just one facility! (The founder and manager of this facility, Annette King-Tucker, has a heart as big as the universe, but her supply of resources is not. Please read 'Koda's Story' to get a glimpse of this very special lady's love for God's creatures.)
..
Who I'd like to meet: We would love the opportunity to meet others involved in the mission of the safety and rescue of wolves and wolfdogs.
