"Freehand bears the heavy stamp of King Crimson on much of their work although guitar driven fusion outfits like Brand X, The Dregs, and Mahavishnu Orchestra are clearly major influences as well. These guys really know how to smoke!" Ken Golden, The Laser's Edge
Freehand's 1988 album Thinking Out Loud (re-issued in 1997) has received high praise around the globe for its powerful original vocal and instrumental music. During their tenure from 1985-1990 the band played many regional shows performing both Freehand originals and covers by bands such as Happy the Man, King Crimson, Alan Holdsworth, UK and Brand X.
