Free Louis is a four-piece instrumental funk-fusion band, who gather their roots from Fairfield, CT. In the summer of 2007, the band moved to Burlington and started to gain a modest but loyal following inside the Burlington and Winooski party scene. Extremely high-energy rock jams counterbalanced by highly danceable funk/trance grooves have been Free Louis’ trademark throughout their live shows. Although relatively new to the area, the bass heavy quartet have just released their first EP (self titled) and been playing shows wherever and whenever possible since their start. Influences include The Meters to Coltrane and Monk to Sound Tribe Sector 9 to Dylan and everything in between.

Sounds Great! We're playing a show on August 8th in Saratoga Springs. We might be able to squeeze one more show in for the summer because we're just about the laziest band around. But, if you have something in mind let's put our heads (bands) together.
