Free Lunch originally started in mid 2006 with different members and sounds. Things changed drastically when the band broke up and Richard and Bill kept writing and trying out different sounds that they found they agreed .. about 6-8 months of writing Andrew came into play in early 2007 to put a little more icing on the cake and boy was the icing delicious. Andrew opened up the sound alot with his style and take on the music. Free Lunch progressed and moved through different members but sticking firmly to the base of Bill,Andrew and Richard. Justin came into action when he sat in with the band at a few practices and shows collaborating his sound on the guitar with Richard on drums. A small amount of time went by before it was realized that there was potential in that set up with Justin. In February 2008 the full Free Lunch was formed with Justin and the roots formed thick. Luke, "Gnarley G" Powell, the newest member of Free Lunch, started collaborating shortly after Justin joined in and started laying funk adding that perfect addition tone and style wise. He became official September 2008. Songs keep rolling out now like conversation and the band continues... keep your eyes and ears peeled in Athens for Free Lunch and come check out the shows whenever you can. Keep up, stay down and rock on.
