It is our belief that the only way we as free will beings can exist is through our musical expression. We consider ourselves not only the Rats who have left the maze for freewill thinking, but also free radicals that are not programmed and conditioned by the trappings of the world. We solemnly believe that we fight the war of the soul and challenge that freedom every time we sit down to write music. Here is a submission fot Thepublicrecord.com thanks to everyone involved! <object width="425px" height="360px"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/> <param name="movie" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=,mr=108047971,t=1,mt=video"/> <embed src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=,mr=108047971,t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"/> </object This is a live recording of our song from the 2009 "Free Radt" release. Thanks to Ian for the edits! <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/> <param name="movie" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=,mr=107957246,t=1,mt=video"/> <embed src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=,mr=107957246,t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"/> </object> I had never heard Steve Vai's version of this until after I made this video and posted it on "ThePublicRecord.com." Even if I had heard it, I would always write my own parts. I really had alot of fun doing this song and I'm thankful to Steve for providing the opportunity. I wasn't too happy with the DB levels on the camera, but at least it's clear. The camera died in the last 10 seconds of this take! I decided that it was my favorite of the other two despite the lack of an ending. ......Die to Live/Steve Vai's naked tracks contest......

Jeremy Barber | MySpace Music Videos
A note about the FREE RADT video. The footage was from a little sony camera that I carried around to all the gigs. CARLOS VILLA did the video editing and came up with the original riff on bass while JEREMY BARBER was playing around on the drums. The song was developed over several sessions and DEAN GOMEZ was involved at one point as well. The song was originally intended to be called "Dark Water," but when KATZ ROMERO and JEREMY BARBER wrote the lyrics and vocal melody it became evident that it would be the title song "FREE RADT," for the band. One thing FREE RADT likes to remember is that a band is a collaboration on everyone's part.
