Freerider should not be listened too while operating heavy machinery..
Having developed a strong fan base through their hardworking, aggressive performances Freerider have forced their way into the Northern Irish Music scene. They play attractive rock songs about the types of life living which can dangerously distract the listener.
Song writing duo Niall Donnelly and Matt McGlynn like to regard themselves as poets but are generally regarded as bums. they strain influences from Thin lizzy to the foo fighters and from led zepplin to BRMC AND QOTSA..
Regularly told that he has a voice like Lynyrd Skynyrd front man, Ronnie Van Zant; Niall feels uncomfortable in the company of compliments, insults budding fans and avoids plane journeys. His interests include music.
Lead guitarist Matt McGlynn is bafflingly versatile on his instrument, but has few other redeeming features. He enjoys, late nights and stealing other people’s jokes he always pays for his own pints.
Bass player Liam Donnelly is the band's hard man, and spends much of his time during gigs pointing out potential trouble makers to the security staff, his interests include fighting other bass players and trips to the toilet.
Freerider’s drummer Howard Salisbury sees himself as a sticks-smith, but is the only person who knows what that really means, he prefers his own company and enjoys showering and pointing out other people’s faults.
Individually, the reclusive four are barely worth knowing, but as a band they unite to forge a gargantuan original sound with thumping bass lines, shrilling choruses, roaring guitars and stomping drums, a perfect accompaniment to hard drinking, breaking up with your girlfriend and unprovoked antisocial behavior.
