About me:
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket "FREE SCOTLAND" : When I created this site I had a purpose in doing so, to inform as many peoples that are of my blood and my heritage on the importance and need of a Independant Scotland and a 32 County Ireland. Throughout the whole of history these two peoples, whom actually are one, have stood and shaped the fabric of the modern world. These people that the Roman Empire could never conquer, who despite English aggression have held onto their tradition and whose greatest loss was the Diaspora of their son's and daughters, have withstood hundred's of years of naked aggression and blantant genocide at the hands of the English Crown. The nations of Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and the Isle Of Man have all endured this imperialistic aggression; it is time for these Celtic, Gaelic, Welsh, Cornish(et cet) son's and daughters to decide their own will and their own destiny. I would like to think that it would be the wish of every Scotsman and Irishman to support our brothers and sisters in their endeavers so that we all can one day be able to return to and are visit our free homelands.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket TAYLOR FAMILY CREST--Grandfather Scottish The name appears numerous times in records from the 13th century and comes from the craft of tailoring. The Latin version in Cissor, and people of the name of Cissor or Scissor are recorded in the 14th and 15th centuries. This name is, not surprisingly, derived from the occupation of a cutter of cloth and is very common throughout Britain and abroad. It first appears in old Scots records c.1276 and the occurrence of the name Cissor/Scissor in some records has been equated with the trade and name. The word 'tailor' passed into Gaelic as 'taillear', and gave rise to the Highland surname, Mac-an-taillear, 'son of the tailor'. Alexander and John McKyntalyhur were declared rebels in 1392 for their part in a raid on Angus and the murder of Sir Walter Ogilvy. Until the end of the 18th century several families in Cowal named Mac-an-taillear regarded themselves as a branch of Clan Cameron and called themselves 'Clann an Taillear Duibh Chamronach'. Traditionally, the Taylors who are considered a sept of Clan Cameron claim to be descendants of a 16th century warrior named Taillear dubh na Tuaighe, 'The Black Taylor of the Axe', a natural son of the 14th Chief of Lochiel, who was renowned for his skill with the Lochaber Axe. There is a tradition amongst the MacLachlans of Cowal that their kinsmen in Lochaber gave refuge to the mighty axe-man and that he in fact died in Cowal. In most instances the name will have originated from the craft of tailoring, and therefore a direct genealogical trace would be required to establish a clan connection. Those who consider themselves members of Clan Cameron may wear any of the accepted Cameron tartans with the exception of the chief's personal sett, the red Cameron of Lochiel. There is distinct Taylor tartan designed in 1955 by Lt.Col. Iain.B. Cameron Taylor, its most prominent feature of which is the double black lines, said to represent the Black Taylor. There is also a marked similarity to the Hunting Cameron pattern. The Camerons have a long and proud heritage in Lochaber and that clan itself was made up from several native families, the MacMartins of Letterfinlay, the MacGillonies of Strone, and others, all of whom projected the history of the race back into the mists of antiquity. Their chiefs were the epitomy of their class and were staunch supporters of the Jacobite cause.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketTAYLOR SEPT CLAN CAMERON Offical Clan Member - The Camerons are descended from the ancient Dalriadic kings of the West Coast. An old Irish manuscript lists their ancestry from Ferchar Fada of the tribe of Lorn, king of Dalraida in 697. The Gaelic name was Camshron. The name is from the Gaelic Cam-shorn, meaning hook nose. It is said that a hooked nose was a characteristic of the old Clan Cameron families. Their principal territory was Locheil and Northern Argyll. The Cameron chiefs were distinguished for their warlike tendencies. They were known as fierce fighters: “For centuries the Camerons held by the sword the lands that had once been Clan Chattan’s heritage in Lochaber. Their ferocious war cry was a promise to feed their enemies’ flesh to dogs: “Sons of the hounds come here and get flesh”. Their territory was bounded to the south by the MacLeans, to the west by the MacDonalds. Most of Cameron country is over one thousand feet in altitude. The highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis, is included in this area. The area contains eagles, wild cats, foxes, otters and red deer. The last wolf in Scotland is said to have been killed in 1680 by Ewan Cameron of Lochiel. The Taylors who are affiliated with Clan Cameron as a sept are said to be descended from Donald "Taillear dubh na tuaighe" (Black tailor of the [Lochaber] axe), who lived in the time of Mary Queen of Scots. He was the "natural son" of Ewen Cameron, 14th Chief of Clan Cameron and a daughter of the Chief of Clan MacDougall, out of wedlock. Ewen had Donald nursed by a tailor's wife at Lundavra; thus the name Taylor. After his father's death (Ewen died while a captive of the Chief of the MacDougalls, held prisoner until he agreed to marry the Chief's daughter), Donald would became the greatest warrior that Clan Cameron had even known. Acknowledgement of his parentage by his deceased father not being enough to ascend to the Chiefship, he excelled in the field of battle, usually against the Cameron's principal foes, the Clan Mackintosh and usually with his trusty Lochaber axe. In time he would flee rising Cameron-Mackintosh internal Clan treachery, with a band of loyal followers, to Cowal. The descendants of his followers there were for ages known as Mac an taillear; later as Taylor. A tribute to Donald remains in the Cameron Coat of Arms, where his likeness, along with a Lochaber axe, borders/protects the outer shield.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket ..KELTON FAMILY CREST-Grandmother Scottish The Keltons are an ancient family of Scottish origin. There the name is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. Many references are given to them in Scottish history. The land on which the city of Edinburgh is built, is said to belong to the Kelton heirs. Mary Kelton married John Glasselle, of the family who accompanied Mary Queen of Scots from Poietiers, on her return to her native land. The Keltons early began to emigrate to America, the first emigrant of that name reaching South Carolina between 1640 and 1645. Like many other Scots, the Keltons aided in colonizing Ireland. Some of these later came to America with the Ulster [Northern Ireland] immigration. One of these, James Kelton came from Ireland to Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1735, and was the great grandfather of John Cunningham Kelton, the soldier and author of treatises on military affairs. They came here in great numbers, for the Census of 1790 gives twenty-one heads of families of this name in Massachusetts, four in Rhode Island, one in Pennsylvania, two for North Carolina, and one for South Carolina. Dr. Claude Kelton, who served six years in the Hospital Corps of the U.S. Army, says that the old records at Washington show that the U.S. Army had Kelton recruits from nearly every state in the union. Also that the name has not been missing from the records a single year since 1776..<
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket HAMILL UlSTER IRISH MOTHER'S FAMILY Used in Ulster at that time, the O'Hamills, Gaelic Ó hAghmaill, were one of the leading septs of the Cenél Binnigh, a brianch of the Cenél Eoghain. As such the O'Hamills claim descent from Binneach, son of Eoghan, son of the fifth-century Niall of the Nine Hostages, founder of the Uí Néill dynasty. The O'Hamills ruled a territory in south Tyrone and Armagh and from the twelfth century were poets and ollovs (learned men) to the powerful O'Hanlons. By the seventeenth century the name was most numerous in Armagh and Monaghan and by 1900 was also common in Louth. The prefix O' is now used only in Co. Derry, and there rarely. The name has also been made Hamilton in that Country and elsewhere.

On November 19, 1995, Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England, an old building built in 1905, was destroyed by fire. Tony O'Rahilly, a local resident, took photos of the spectacle from across the street. One of those photos shows a small, partially transparent girl standing in the doorway. Neither O'Rahilly nor any of the other onlookers or firefighters recalled seeing the girl there. Dr. Vernon Harrison, a photographic expert and former president of the Royal Photographic Society, examined both the print and the original negative, and concluded that it was genuine.
