About me: Andrea Testa started FreeSpirit Yoga in October 1998, in a rented space in a Church on Long Beach Blvd. The church flooded in massive rains of Feb. 2001 and we moved to The Long Beach Ballet Center on Wardlow Rd. After much search the perfect space appeared and in January 2002 we opened the doors. The need for Yoga in Bixby Knolls was evident as the very first class was full. It takes community to bring community together. Thanks Everyone!
We are a local community Yoga Studio that welcomes everyone from any other community. We are seeking to incorporate the benefits from the many facets of Yoga and Meditation. Our Philosophy is to incorporate movement with breath to make the body and mind healthy, and to take silent time to get centered before and after class. Practicing this inside the classroom helps you to take it into your life, relationships, work and play. Being centered and grounded in all that you do and in all that you are. And having FUN in life, being in the FLOW of life.
Our teachers have various experience, training and certifications from Ana Forest, White Lotus Foundation, Erich Shiffman, Shiva Rea, Raja Yoga, Hatha, Iyengar, Kundalini, and Anusara. We are committed to providing a well rounded yoga experince from the vast information we hold. And we are blessed to be a part your yoga path.
