WHO ARE THE WEST MEMPHIS 3:
Shortly after 3 eight-year-old boys were found mutilated & murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas, local newspapers stated the killers had been caught. The police assured the public that the 3 teenagers in custody where definitely responsible for these horrible crimes. Evidence?
The same police officers coerced an error-filled "confession" from Jessie Misskelley Jr., who is mentally handicapped. They subjected him to 12 hrs of questioning without counsel or parental consent, audio-taping only two fragments totaling 46 minutes. Jessie recanted it that evening, but it was too late— Misskelley, Jason Baldwin & Damien Echols where all arrested on June 3, 1993, & convicted of murder in early 1994.
Although there was no physical evidence, murder weapon, motive, or connection to the victims, the prosecution pathetically resorted to presenting black hair & clothing, heavy metal t-shirts, & Stephen King novels as proof that the boys were sacrificed in a satanic cult ritual. Unfathomably, Echols was sentenced to death, Baldwin received life without parole, & Misskelley got life plus 40.
For over 14 years, The West Memphis Three have been imprisoned for crimes they didn’t commit. Echols waits in solitary confinement for the lethal injection our tax dollars will pay for. They where all condemned by their poverty, incompetent defense, satanic panic & a rush to judgment.

Dreadnaught would like to announce that Matt Racovalis (Alarum, The Berzerker) will be joining the current line-up on drums. Matt has been a mainstay of the Australian metal scene for many years now, touring and recording with Alarum from 1992 to 2006 and brief stints with The Berzerker.
The band is booked to enter the studio on May 31, with producer Reggie Bowman to begin work on LP number 4. The as yet untitled record consists of the following tracks (in no particular order). Twist the Knife, The Push, Agony-Ecstasy, Save Your Life, Tattooed Tears, Ten X The Pain, Buried, (Instra)Mental, More Than One Way, and Collapse.
Following completion of the new record the band will be setting their sites on Europe, making the jaunt later in the year to commence talks with interested labels and promoters so the band can finally begin their long overdue assault on the Northern hemisphere.”
