EVERYONE PLEASE READ!!!!!
This Saturday night at Halo nightclub in Charlotte, NC, there is an event being billed as "DJ AM TRIBUTE", this WAS NOT our idea. The Promoters, Sleeping Giant, sent me the flyer less than a week before the event, it states that my drummer and i are a "cover" of Dj AM and Travis Barker. This IS NOT THE CASE. We will be performing our own set, with our own music selection. Yes, I do want to pay tribute to a great man, and musician who i looked up to, that I myself was fortunate enough to meet and see play on more than one occasion. However, not under these circumstances. We will be playing the event because I have an obligation to the venue, and I think everyone will enjoy the show quite a bit. However, since none of the proceeds are being donated to charity by Sleeping Giant, we have decided to donate our earnings from the night to Morningside Recovery Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
