Freq-Sho

When one thinks about the Midwest, rarely does the word “funk” come to mind. And why should it? We’re talking about some of the most rhythmically-impaired states in the country. But once in a great while, someone comes along that bucks conventional thought, and in this case, that man goes by the name Freq-Sho. A child of 1980s North Dakota, it is rumored that he is, in fact, the illegitimate love child of Chaka Khan and Rick James; however, it should be noted that currently there is no evidence to suggest that they were ever in the state at the same time. Some say that his mother was impregnated by an advanced alien civilization that communicates solely through the use of synthesizers. Regardless of what people believe, recent blood tests have shown him to be over 95% funkier than the average Caucasian male age 18 – 45, and you can’t argue with solid science like that. In the tongue of Moog, he speaks directly with the dance floor, and the result is usually described as “funky fresh,” “fly,” “dope,” or some combination thereof. A connoisseur of electro-filth, Freq-Sho is a bastion of boogie and possesses Master degrees in "Bounce," "Groove" and "Girl, Move That Ass."
