You guys got some good intentions and a cool vibe. I like your stuff. Peace for now and thanks for showing love to the site.
I want to personally thank you for your interest in promoting peace. With the President and Congress having a collective approval rating of 25%, we need to do something.
Would you help letting others no that we can stop the war with a petition to ammend the constitution; and that we can do it from the comfort of our computers?
This first link goes to a place for information on a petition to end the war,
If you would like to stop the war, send a friend request and sign the petition, here is a link.
If every person tells everyone they know, and they tell everyone they know, and it continues before we know it we will have enough signatures to submit.
If you can recommend any resources that I should post this on please let me know.
We can end the war, we can do it for free, we can do it from the comfort of our living rooms. There were 500,000 people at Woodstock protesting the war. That was then. We can convene an unlimited number of people right now over the internet.
Heck, just look at how many myspace profiles there are, 170 million or so? 70% of America is on-line, 50% at home, the rest at some other location. Technically because of free public libraries EVERY American now has access to the internet.

New York City's food industry, from the warehouses to the restaurants, are notorious for their sweatshop-like conditions. Sub-minimum wages, extremely long hours without overtime, and abusive, openly racist employers are all-too-common.
But the IWW Food and Allied Workers Industrial Union has been waging a campaign to build power in these shops, force employers to obey labor laws, and create a dignified work environment for this mainly immigrant, largely undocumented workforce. In response, management has fired organizers, locked workers out and black-listed them from the industry. And despite the ever-present threat of deportation, the campaign has spread to a dozen shops around the city, with nearly a hundred members and industry-wide influence. Many fired workers have been re-hired, won back-pay, raises, overtime and humane hours.
But the union is at a critical point in its campaign, and its members are in dire need of financial assistance. Please come show your support, learn more about this struggle, and enjoy an evening of food, music and solidarity. The program will include rank and file workers and organizers speaking about this struggle and live music with:
