Sounds Like
A mix of Irish and Scotish jigs reels and hornpipes to get the dancers going with slower tunes and the occasional waltz to relax to. From garden party to wedding, fete to barn dance we'll have something to play.
Reeling Reels; Propelling Jigs;Relaxing Airs and Driving Dances ensure this band provides you with an event to remember.
Fresh Aire have been playing for functions and dances since 1997 and before that the band was known as Lark In The Evening. Graham and Elieen were part of English Mustard in 1978 and both have had a long association with music, dance and dance sides in the Taunton area.
Mike and Jim have been playing with Fresh Aire since its creation. The many years of playing music together has given the band an easy relaxed style that is able to incorporate most requests from event organisers.
Graham calls the dances and has a wide repetoire to cater for novice to experienced, young and not so young!
The band plays traditional acoustic instruments and has provided music-unplugged on occasions where background music is needed. For dances the band uses its own PA system .... not that the bagpipes need it!!
