About Fresno Folklore Society

We are a non-profit corporation founded for the purpose of preserving folk arts, especially traditional music, in the San Joaquin Valley. Aside from the fact that we have a great time playing music, dancing, and singing, we provide a venue for the community to hear and enjoy "our kind" of music: folk music, blues, old-timey, bluegrass, Irish, Scottish, Cajun, Armenian--just to name a few. We share with the community our talents and concerns for a peaceful, just, environmentally friendly world.
