About me:

I'm a guitar player who also hosts a radio show dedicated to great guitar music in many genres. My special areas of expertise/interest include the "golden age of hillbilly music", rockabilly and jazz guitar. My show is called Frettin' Fingers ("The Guitar Music Show") and airs every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 ~ 3:00 PM Pacific Time on station KSER - 90.7 FM in Everett, WA. You can listen at http://www.kser.org.

I'm also a writer. I was a regular columnist for Vintage Guitar Magazine, writing the popular "SPOTLIGHT" column for almost 10 years. I had the pleasure of doing in-depth interviews with great players like Larry Collins, Speedy West, Jimmy Bruno and Brian Setzer.

In addition, I've written liner notes for numerous CD projects including Howard Roberts, Pearl Django, Joe Cohn, High Noon, Lester Peabody and Steve Abshire & Vince Lewis to name a few.

I've also assisted Bear Family Records with discographical research and photographic contributions on several projects including extensive work on the Jimmy Bryant and Speedy West box set and single CD re-issues of material by Joe Maphis and Roy Lanham.

Who I'd like to meet:

Fans of eclectic guitar music, folks who like 45 RPM vinyl EP's, anyone who loves classic western attire - especially vintage shirts and suits made by Frontex, Rodeo Ben, Nathan Turk and Nudie and anyone who likes Gretsch guitars.

You no what, sounds like your a really nice man.  Do you watch Family Reunion on RFD TV  ?  It's so good. As soon as I can I want to order the dvds.   It's so sad  when one of them dies.  Have a great week end. God bless you.  Betty

Jim—we don't wanna make a federal case outta this but—we're deeply honored!!!

OW!! What a nice guy you are. I sure did like them both. I had just seen Billy on Family reunion and was shocked when I heard he died.   I don't seem to hear these things.   They had a tribute to the four that died this year on Family Reunion on RFD TV .  I was so sad until they started telling funny stories on them.  Love it.  Hugs,  Betty
