For Fridays Cry the calling to touch heaven and see people changed through their music, has never been stronger. The name Fridays Cry is taken from when Jesus cried out “It is finished” from the cross.
The music is a blend of stylish rock and passionate choruses that find you singing
along at the top of your lungs. Some would call Fridays Cry a rock band and others
would say they are Worship leaders. “We want all we do to bring Glory to the Lord”. “Sing along choruses or big rock songs are all for Him and we just want people to join us in lifting our voices toward heaven” (Brandon - Lead Singer)
Brandon is the older of the two Wall brothers. The brothers were born into a musical
family and from the age of six Brandon has been singing in front of people and is the
lead singer in Fridays Cry. Brandon is also a good communicator and when asked loves
to share his heart and encourage people in their relationship with the Lord. Jordanʼs
attention to detail has helped him develop as a musician. Jordan is the more multi
faceted artist of the two. Jordan plays drums and sings back up as well as carves,
sketches and writes.
The songs of Fridays Cry are truly a result of the experience gained through the
years traveling in Canadaʼs big cities and back roads. Brandon and Jordan have written
some of their best songs in this most recent season. These songs have been described
as modern church anthems: words and music that cut right to the heart, lifting the spirit,
inspiring personal growth and deep commitment.
The award winning record ʻLove is a Fireʼ is proof that beauty can come out of ugly
situations. The record was written and recorded around the same time Brandon and his
wife were fighting for their premature sonʼs little life in Childrenʼs Hospital for several
months. The song “Your Strength” became an anthem for our family. “Your strength is
made perfect in my weakness...” their little boy is 100% today.
When on tour the brothers take musician friends along to perform live in the various
concert and worship events they play each year. Fridays Cry has opened for or played
with many of the CCMʼs top artists including Tree 63, Kutless, Sonic Flood, Starfield,
and TFK but add to that list Schools, Prisons, Churches, Conferences, and Summer
Camps you will notice that these guys have seen a lot of highway.
If you ever meet Fridays Cry along the road you will see clearly that these brothers
have a heart for ministry and truly believe the words they are singing.
