Influences
What are the influences that contributed to sound my music how it sounds now? When you listen you will recognize that i listened a lot to keziah jones (guitar), g.love n special sauce (singing/rapping), manu chao (singing and guitar), beck (singing, noises and sound texture).
I do listen to lenny kravitz, too. I especially love his bass lines. Then i do listen to tons of zero7, morcheeba, moloko, nouvelle vague, fat freddys drop, hilltop hoods, john butler trio, patrice, tricky, pj harvey, massive attack, dandy warhols.
I do have my all time favorites which influenced me the since 1990: Pixies, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys and Radiohead.

The Biography is closely related to the town Al-Berto comes from. It is Engelberg, Central Switzerland. They got there a pool of musicians from where you can always pull power for whatever project. Over the years Engelberg has seen lots of bands around the same musicians. Al-berto and the Fried Bikinis is one of those projects and started in 2005. Some of the members have been playing together since 1991.
The Fried Bikinis project works like this: Al-Berto goes travelling to surf and climb around the world. There, he has the time to meet wonderful people, weird people, people like me, people completely different. All that makes his mind tumble, sometimes his heart, too.
Back home or on the road he records the inspirations and revelations and if there is a concert he asks Hellrider and Gasguzzler from the Toenails or other friends from Engelberg to support him and have a good time. It feels like a perfect formula.
