Friendly Fire plays high energy rock and roll, shamelessly influenced by 70’s era punk, glam, and power pop, with songs so infectious they had to be registered with the CDC. Formed in 2004, the band played Florida venues from Miami to St. Petersburg and released two self-produced CDs, while at the same time building a large internet following thanks to a jam-packed website, weekly radio show, and a little thing you may have heard of called MySpace.
In the summer of 2007 Friendly Fire decided to swim into the deep end of the internet, and now plays exclusively online and in the virtual word Second Life. The parts of Stunner and Kristal Van Hart are now being played by Case Munro and MacKenzie Rasmuson. The part of the drummer is now being played by Soft Ware.
From deep in the heart of Cardiac City, barricaded in Superhero Studios, Friendly Fire is transmitting their brand of rock around the globe, and blazing a trail into a new age that obliterates a playing field dominated by corporate media giants. DIY to the max. Now go glam a beer, and welcome to the future.

Deep in the heart of Cardiac City, the fearsome foursome known as Friendly Fire is even more glamtastic than ever! We're getting lots of questions about the new lineup, so here's everything you need ta know!
Friendly Fire v.2 FAQ
Q- Who is Friendly Fire?
A- Friendly Fire is South Florida's favorite glam rock politi-pop power punk
showband and review! More specifically, Friendly Fire is Stunner
(guitar/vocals), Kristal Van Hart (bass/vocals), and Rolls Royce (drums).
Q- You realize there's like thirty bands named Friendly Fire, right?
A- We've got the southeast franchise.
Q- What happened to the old drummer?
A- It's an old but familiar story. Drummer and guitar player get into
drunken scuffle on a gig, guitar player screws up knee and gets surgery,
time passes, band regroups bigger and better than ever. Typical rock and
roll stuff.
Q- Oh yeah, I think I saw that one on VH1 Classic. Say, did anyone ever
tell you that you look like Ozzy?
A- Next question.
Q- So tell me about the new guy.
A- Rolls Royce is a first class multi-instrumentalist and mainstay of the
indie punk scene. He's played with tons of bands including local legends, The
Belligerents. Plus, he plays the drums LEFT HANDED for chrissakes.
Q- So now what?
A- Why picking up where we left off of course! Copies of our debut CD 'LEFT
RIGHT UPPERCUT' are still available at live shows and via the net. We're
writing new material now for the next album, looking at a spring '07 release
date, and of course tons of live dates coming up through the new year.
"Stunner and company may have their sites set on the 'Net, but Friendly Fire isn't doomed to cyberspace. The band writes some of the catchiest rock tunes this side of Paul Stanley, and it lives for the stage. Friendly Fire's shows are high-energy, high-humor, and high-fashion. You won't catch them wearing T-shirts and cargo shorts on stage.
The type of glam that Friendly Fire espouses is not the bastardized '80s version peddled by the likes of Poison or Cinderella. This is the real deal, daddy-o, '70s-style glam meets power pop that pays equal homage to the New York Dolls and early Cheap Trick. It's flashy, irreverent, catchy as hell -- and fiercely political."
"Well, I finally had an opportunity to see Friendly Fire in action. The FF site is ever so cool - I've downloaded about half of their mp3s and like those. (I will eventually grab them all - it's a time thing or I'd already have them all). Last night I saw them play at Club M in Hollywood. Let me tell you - they are the real thing! I don't remember enjoying a show that much in a long time. I was kind of amazed at how good the sound was as well (in a place like that). Checking out the people in the crowd, no one was sitting or standing still. Everyone was moving to the beat to one extreme or another. People were paying attention and looked like they were really getting into the music I know I was. If you get a chance, try to catch one of their shows - you won't be disappointed."

"Friendly Fire is bringing rock 'n' roll back to its roots: sex and booze...plus the mod addition of podcasts. Their music is raw, all-out rock 'n' roll, Cheap Trick with a punk edge and a fetish for dressing up."
--Liza Hearon, South Florida Sun-Sentinel Showtime

Hey! Thanks for the ADD! In answer to your question, yes ... I will be joining Kevin M Thomas in SecondLife on Sunday nights as well as the work we will be doing in the Annapolis Maryland area! I'm very excited about this new direction that he and I will be going in as far as adding my percussion work to his already distinct sound! My first show with him will be on July 5th at 8:00PM EST (5:00PM SecondLife time). I'm hoping you could catch that show and let me know what you think!
