Friendly Grounds Coffeehouse Have you heard? There's a brand new faith-based coffeehouse in Santee and it's a great place to sit and chat, or to just curl up with a great book and enjoy the ambiance. Friendly Grounds Coffeehouse, located at 9225 Carlton Hills Blvd., Santee (next to Mast Park and in the same complex as the Santee library), opened on 12/19/07 and is experiencing a phenomenal reception by the residents of Santee and the surrounding area. The business is owned by The Carpenter's House, affiliated with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church(www.iphc.org), a denomination that has been in existence for over 100 years. The goal of this business is to have seven coffeehouses established within the next 10 years throughout Southern California and regions beyond. Friendly Grounds Coffeehouse' purpose is to help support/fund these future coffeehouses. The coffeehouse is a community-minded business, helping build the community's strength by providing a non-threatening atmosphere within the coffeehouse- a play area for the children and a "safe haven" for school-aged children to "hang-out" before and after school. A large "living room" area is provided in which to relax while enjoying delicious espresso-based drinks-hot,frozen and iced-the Friendly Mocha is especially recommended. Enjoy the wide variety of drinks including smoothies,various teas, non-coffee drinks such as Vanilla and/or Chocolate cremes and Chai lattes. Enjoy the wide selection of delicious cookies and Danish, and freshbaked pastry items such as muffins and scones. You can also enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights. A wide selection of vocalists, pianists,Blue Grass combos, acoustic fingerstyle guitarists, local church groups' Praise and Worship teams, to name a few, present their musical talents while customers enjoy themselves in a relaxing environment. There are two rooms available to the public-one is approximately 185 sq. ft. and the other is 315 sq. ft. A minimal fee of $25.00 will reserve the Study Hall(max. 12 people), and the Conference Room is available for $25.00 per hour with a minimum use of two hours for a maximum of 30 people. These rooms are a great "change of pace" for your personal, business or church-related meetings. The coffeehouse also offers free Wi-Fi to our customers-bring your laptop and enjoy!
