Formed in 2002 Friends Electric is a collective of producers, musicians, singers based around the world. Seed ideas are formed by the 2 founder members Bill Fuller & Sam Rice Edwards & then circulated to various other contributers who are left free to experiment with the original idea. Contributions are re-combined into the original piece by Bill & Sam.
Bill started producing music in 1992 when he formed Sonar Audio, a record label run with then musical partner Ben Garner (now working as Benny Ill of Horsepower Productions). He has worked in various styles from acid house to breakbeat, minimal techno to ambient, electro to dub. Other projects he is currently involved in: Warp Technique, Makako Project (SambaLoco/Trama Recs Brasil) Freeq Unique (Bitasweet Recs UK).
The group operates primarily from London & Berlin & songs emerge from a mixture of studio sessions & collaborating via ftp with different artists & producers.
