Sounds Like
Power pop gone scary. "the groupies knocking back watered-down two-for-ones backstage at the Triple Rock, the musicians who spend their winters wishing they hadn't wasted their summers, the tiny music scene where everyone has kissed everyone else's ex and everyone has played in everyone else's band." --- City Pages
"Friends Like These craft power-pop for danger seekers who get off on running the risk of finding a razor blade in their musical Halloween candy." - Pulse of The Twin Cities
"Deliver Us From Evil," follows in the steps of Brian Wilson, with sly lyrics orchestrated by pop hooks, soaring harmonies and hand claps (yes! hand claps!)"
Time Out New York
"Friends Like These are truly a power-pop phenomenon. Could these guys be any better and still have such fun?"
How Was The Show
"The Best. The best band ever to come through the Ralph's Circuit."
High Plains Reader
"Like a thrift store wrapped in a garage sale wrapped in an enigma, Friends Like These blanket your ears in the warm swells of indie rock past."
- City Pages
"Remember the last time you came across an unknown band that left you wearing a smile for days? You've just found the next one. Pass the good news on to your friends."
- Splendid, Best Unreleased CD's of 2003
"Alternative pop at its finest, in its best form. This is power-pop that fans of the genre will cherish and seek out everything that the band does."
Music Emissions
"Fans who loved the noisy yet heavenly pop music from the early 1990s will go apeshit over this band. (Actually, virtually anyone who loves soaring pop music will love this band!)"
Baby Sue
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." - Amendment I of the Constitution of the United States
Nice tunes! Way to represent Minneapolis. KEEP IT UP!
Look for my song, The Flower, to appear on a national indie compilation featuring Minneapolis indie musicians. Just got my snocap up: feel free to download a song or two.
Wow...your #1 friend. I'm honored. On another note...I know you're big Beatles fans. Then do me a favor and check out Locksley tomorrow night (Saturday, 6/16) at the Triple Rock for an early show (doors at 5pm). I guarantee you'll be impressed!
2-4-1's all day @ Stella's tomorrow! A large portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Bridge, which a non-profit that supports runaway youth in Minneapolis! The more we drink, the more we help.. and I think we can all manage that! Hope to see you all out!!
I've had a lot of myspace friends write asking where they can get the Five Times August CD so I decided to go ahead and message everybody on my friends list just in case you are one of the ones that would like to know. Otherwise, feel free to delete this comment!

If you are still planning on going to club 3° tonight for round 3 of the music tournament to support us, put your keys down. I mean it do not get up after reading this and put your Remember the Jericho shirt on then hop in your buddies wagon to car-pool downtown singing "I Don't Wanna Hide" at the top of your lungs in preparation for the show. Repeat DO NOT!
Instead sit back and watch a movie, don't go to school tomorrow... in fact don't go to school, or the store, or gas station, or doctor, or library, skate park, snowboarding, snowmobiling, or anywhere away from your living room until Friday March 9th. That's one week and one day from today. Second Adam's round 3 will be rescheduled for this night. Again Friday March 9th, so in the mean time stock up on cocoa, marshmallows, and Chris Farley movies.
Hey Friends Like These! Don't miss this show!!! I've heard you'll grow a third foot if you do. No one wants a third foot!
Because you're awesome you can print FREE tickets out at
