Thank You (and Goodbye) from Friends of Lizzy

hello friends, Some of you we haven't known long, if at all. Others we've known for years. perhaps since Brooks & Clay started the band with Adam Benthall in high school. Its hard to write this in a matter-of-fact fashion, but I'll do my best. After what seems like forever, we here at the friends of lizzy camp are going to call it a day. Life doesn't stand still, so why should we?! We feel good about what we've been able to accomplish & are ready to move on to the next chapter. But we just wouldn't feel good about leaving without saying goodbye.

We will play our last show next Saturday night (July 22nd) as part of our dear friend Ray Flowers' "RAYFEST" birthday celebration at the Red Eyed Fly. We will take the stage at about midnight & try to make it through as many songs as we can before they make us stop. I could make this message ten times longer if I allowed myself, thanking everyone individually for everything that they've done to help us make our music, but those people deserve to hear it in person.

To the casual listener, I would like to remind you that www.friendsoflizzy.com will remain your source for all news related to our future musical projects. I'd be shocked if you didn't see something new come from one or all of us within the next 6 months. I would also like to thank you for listening online, buying our records, and supporting us at live shows over the years.
