THIS is FrIGht NiGHt!!
We are a haunted Trail that has been going on for over 20 years. We are a non-profit group of volunteers who come together every year to bring the best screams and terrifying chills in Southeast Alabama.
FRIGHT NIGHT HISTORY
In the fall of 1987, David & Wendy Jay, noticed the neighborhood kids waiting for the school bus outside their Pensacola, Florida home. They wanted to give the kids something that would make halloween exciting, so he put up a scarecrow. He watched how the kids would attempt to scare each other by daring one another to go and touch it to see if it was real. The following year, he added to the scarecrow a few homemade tombstones and a casket, that was made from cardboard. That year after Halloween, David and Wendy moved to Dothan, Alabama, bringing their Halloween spirit with them. They decorated their home at the time with tombstones, scarecrows, and spider webs. They started a small little walk through trail that went around their house for people to come and see the decorations. In 1992, they moved to Creekwood Drive where the trail has been since. At that time he had a small spark of an idea in his head, and little did he know, the idea of scaring a few local neighborhood kids so many years ago, would evolve into what it has become. The trail has grown over the years and has slowly gotten larger and larger. Many of the workers on the trail now, can recall the past events of the trail as they went through it in their younger years before working on it. The crew begins the planning phase mid-summer and by August construction is well underway!!! All the guys have so much fun and enjoy working together to ensure safe Halloween FUN!!! Each year, the trail has new ideas that are added to keep it fresh and new, so no two years are alike. What started out with just a few kids at a bus stop, has evolved into over a thousand people, young and old alike. The trail is typically a 15 to 20 minute walk through the woods or better known as the "Creekwood Cemetery". There has been news coverage from all of the local T.V. stations- WTVY Channel 4 & WDHN Newa 18, Newspapers- The Dothan Eagle, and online News- Rickeystokesnews.com. But nothing means more than having my 2 daughters experience the excitement of the trail and the fun-filled spirit of HALLOWEEN!!
Who I'd like to meet: This trail is created each year for friends and family to have a fun and safe place to celebrate the Halloween Season. For the biggest family fun place to be this HaLLoWeeN, join us on Creekwood Drive for the Fright of your LIFE!!!

The GANGFREE Project thanks you. In my 16-years working as a Corrections Officer and Gang Unit Commander I have seen too often the results of gang violence. I started the Rusty Keeble Foundation to begin working hard to save both our communities and our kids from the violence caused by gangs. Our latest assessment, which was released in January 2009 showed a reported 20,000 gangs and 1 Million gang members in the United States alone. It can be said, that an estimated 85% of all violent crime in the United States can be contributed in some way to gangs.
We are building an Army - a GANGFREE Project Army to build a grassroots effort to win this War on Gangs, stop the killing and breathe life back into our communities so our children (the future) can live and play instead of die and commit crimes.
Thanks again - please tell everyone you know about the GANGFREE Project and if you would, I would very much like to have the GANGFREE Project in your top friends list.
