Hello Fr. Kent! I hope that you are doing wonderfully! I just wanted to share with you our special and great news, (in case you had not yet already heard...), that Alex and I are expecting our first child in March 2010! I am 9 and a half weeks along so far at this time and we are both over-JOYED!!! God has blessed us deeply and we are so thankful and really looking forward to becoming parents and raising our little, precious child in God's ways. If you could please continue to keep us in your prayers that would be great! We will keep you and your music ministry in ours as well! Have a beautiful and blessed day! ~Jennifer Grace (and Baby too!) :)
Happy Easter to you! I just wanted to say, thank you, for being my new friend in Christ. Your music is really beautiful... may God continue to bless you in your ministry in wonderful and special ways! Have a beautiful and blessed day! ~ Jennifer www.Jenniferslove.com
Hello..I have mixed feelings about that. I guess I am going to pray and see if God would have me go anywhere and do anything...Today, was interesting to say the least. I went to Wichita, to stand at Tiller's. I met Brandi Lozier, who was aborted with a saline abortion and lived, and she herself has had a late term partial birth abortion. God was giving me a song on the way down, with words, which rarely happens. So I practiced it. Stopped by an Adoration Chapel for a quick fix, went to Tiller's. There was a lot of activity going into Tiller's..anyway...I sang the song to Brandi, visited with her...she needs post-abortive healing...that may happen while she is in Wichita..prayers please. Back to the table in Wichita.....it is rather expensive if only 2 of us are there. I was thinking that maybe the ones that are from Kansas could go together, place a co-op ad in each of the 4 Diocean newspapers. We could each have some of the other's cds like was mentions in one of the posts..and sell them in a package??? I end up giving most of mine away. it's hard..I hope to meet you soon. Patrice
It's good to hear songs that are actually what music is supposed to be about instead of the junk that is mostly listened to today: lyrics that mean something and great, uncomplicated music to accompany!
To make a long story short, ever since I entered into the department, I was labeled as the "kid that wouldn't make it through the program" which they blamed on my past music education (Miege! wooo). I have struggled to get through the program and prove to everyone that I WILL make a great teacher and now I'm going to graduate in 15 days, thank the Lord.
Anyway, the department has this "Most Outstanding Musician Award" that they give to a graduating senior and have given to a graduating senior for some 30 years. I'm the only senior music major graduating, and being the underdog, one would think I would be worthy to receive such an award. No. This year, they changed the away to go to anyone in the music department that the faculty deems worthy enough...and it wasn't me. I busted my butt to get through the music education program, not to get my name on some plaque that will hang in the halls of Bishop Fink forever, but to be able to reach and teach kids music, so I shouldn't be that upset. But my status was my initial reaction.
