I started playing guitars at age 15. Before that some keyboard and other stuff...
My first band was called Exhibit A, I was 16 or 17, we covered songs of bands like Megadeth, Rage Against the Machine, Urban Dance Squad, RHCP, Mordred etc. We had some very cool gigs back then!
Then came 'No Rules', a band with A.O.R./hardrock & metal covers. Had a cool time with them, but unfortunately no gigs 'cause the drummer quit.
At the same time as being in those two bands, Exhibit A's bassplayer Joris auditioned with Symmetry. Symmetry asked him to bring me along 'cause they were looking for a second guitarplayer eventually and heard that I could play Megadeth n stuff, so I came along the next time and stayed. Later I quit the other two bands to fully concentrate on Symmetry.
I've been playing in the tech-deathmetalband Precious Insanity for a while too. We had a great time, but then our drummer died.. He was irreplacable.
Symmetry quit November 9th, 2005. I was asked for and joined Enraged. Aggressive deathmetal! Love it. But quit it to have more time for other things. Like performing live with Marcel Coenen (http://www.myspace.com/MarcelCoenen) for his latest solo-album Colour Journey. A live DVD has been released, called "A Live Time Journey". Check it out!!! Besides that I'm working on a project together with my friend Leendert from Aggro (check www.aggromusic.com). Some brutal and tech over-the-top metal. Check the LF-tracks on this page. And I play in the genious Progressive Industrial Blackmetalband Control Human Delete!
