a billion stars go spinning through the night,
blazing high above your head.
But in you is the presence that
will be, when all the stars are dead.
Rainer Maria Rilke

There is no place in this new kind of physics for energy and matter, for the field is the only reality.

"The sun around which Earth orbits is one of perhaps 400 billion stars in the Milky Way, which is a piddling galaxy next door to nothing much. There are perhaps 40 billion galaxies in the still-unfolding universe. If all the stars in the universe were only the size of the head of a pin, they still would fill Miami's Orange Bowl to overflowing more than 3 billion times."

Of course, anger can always be justified. But then, so can forgiveness. Just depends on how much more you want from the ride.
Incomprehension is the leading cause of criticism. Criticism is a prime indicator of insecurity.
Am I insecure. Hell yes, we all are.
Books
I read as much as I can find time to do so. Usually two to three hundred pages a day.
I've read everything Shakespeare ever wrote. Rumi. Hafiz. Tolstoy. Doystoyevski. Whitman. Ann Rice. Laurel K Hamilton - Phillip K Dick. A.A. Attanatio, Poe -etc.

Buddha. Ghandi. Coyote, the trickster. Batman - Lestadt. Wu Li. Roy Batty. The man behind the curtain. The wicked witch of the East... great Showmen and Shamen. they are the same... And all the great minds that have come and gone. Some still here.

I Served in the U.S. Navy. And I was a part of history. I was there during the early atomic bomb tests. Participated in Operation Hardtack in which we set off 13 Atomic bombs. Some less than four miles away. And we were aware that, as Bob Dylan famously sang: "The times they are a changing.">br>
Seeing a nuclear explosion in the movies or on TV is one thing. Seeing one up close and personal is a terrifying experience. And I don't mean as an officer back in the bunkers, or away off in the distance on the flag ship. I mean close. The white out is nearly blinding, even with your eyes closed and your forearm pressed against your eyes. You could see through your arm.. see the bone. Shine a flashlight through your hand sometime. You'll have a dim idea of what I mean.
I still have nightmares of 'white outs'. Afterwards, dead fish floating as far as the eye can see. And every man jack of us knowing that the world had just changed. Forever.

A long time businessman, I was the volunteer director in the late eighties of an apprenticeship program for street people for 6 and a half years. We taught them the trade of wood working. We took no donations of any kind and paid the students and the overhead with money we received for the products we showed them how to build. Office furniture. The quality was legendary and the prices were unremarkable.
So it can be done without panhandling the government or begging from the populace. Of course myself and the staff were unpaid, so that helped. We paid the apprentices minimum wage while they learned. And of course the regular woodworkers were paid also.
We had 18 success stories out of 200 apprentices over 6.5 yrs... it seems a low %. .. so many drifted back into drugs and the street scene before they graduated from the program. The call of the wild is powerful.
After six and a half years without a paycheck, I had to go back to work. lol.
Now a days I sell the shelters you see below.
we are designer creatures. Some one, or some thing, designed us. We are Not the Architects of our own design. There-fore, what ever we are, how ever we are, is how we were designed. But we are malleable and can rise above our hardwiring.. hopefully I have. Time will tell.
"So it is that every person you meet, each soul who crosses
your path and affects you - wonderfully and terribly,
briefly or for a lifetime - is here for that reason, and
every relationship you engage in is but a small scene in a
vast, ever-unfolding human panoply that is being endlessly
enacted for the purpose of your soul's development. When
you recognize this, you will suddenly, breathtakingly see
that each person has been brought to you with a high and
elegant purpose, that each soul has come to touch your soul
and teach it, that each relationship exists to hasten your
own soul's beautiful awakening. No longer is anyone a tranger; no longer can any of your relationships be seen as
failures or mistakes."

Poet, writer, philosopher, ex-power lifter, (I tied a national record that stood for nine years.) Sailor, etc. I am now a gentler soul. Business man, father, dog trainer, sold a dog to Bill Shatner..oh yeah, I did lunch with Captain Kirk! :o)
Met Johnny Cash and Bill Monroe one night in Port Hueneme at a place called Roses Cantina. Pissed Johnny off by dancing with his girlfriend while he was in the back room signing autographs for the guys.. ;o)
I thought his girlfriend was a lot more interesting than
his autograph. lol.
Sales trainer, wood worker, I've been a mechanic, electrician, plumber, driver, bodyguard, salesman, cook, maintenance worker, salesman/advertising agency owner, ofc furniture mfg/retailer, fund raiser, carpenter, bicycle retailer. Had one of the first water bed stores in the pacific northwest. We sold them in retail stores, fairs, home shows and flea markets, had a booking agency in Portland, made the first light shows set to stage musicians
instruments, trained dogs for people all over the world,
worked as crisis phone op on suicide line, had a fix it shop doing repairs on just about anything, reorganized a
nightclub/restaurant into a profitable biz, back from the brink of bankruptcy, made a million dollars and lost it. Made four people wealthy. Worked at a carnival guessing weights. Worked for a while finding lost people and things. Restored pickups and classic cars, built performance engines (as a business owner), made signs,
contracted farm labor crews for farmers, designed, wrote copy, and directed and produced and appeared in television commercials. etc. restorer of antique autos, etc. You name it, I've probably done it. 'Rich man, poor man, beggar man thief. Dr, Lawyer, Indian Chief.'
I was in the cotton fields when I was six. And setting spikes in the cherry orchards when I was nine. Bucking spuds and hay in the fields at 12. Working as a carpenter at fifteen.

I have been asked about the hat in some of my pics...
I am an enrolled member of the Choctaw tribe so I guess I came by the Cowboys and Indians image honestly.
My Grandfather was gifted mystically or spiritually, what ever you want to call it.. He dowsed for water successfully and was something of a 'knower' as well. I remember my Grandfather telling me that, although he was strong, that he could not bend his grandfathers bow. How we have declined as warriors over the decades. lol. Before the white man came with the horse, Indians would run down their game on foot! Just keep chasing and tracking a deer until it dropped from exhaustion!
We catch glimpses of what we were when we hear stories of the woman who lifts a car off her child that is pinned under it in an accident. I think our minds keep us trapped in this pale shadow of a reality. />
Grand father was also was a bit of a seer into peoples problems. What you might call a medicine man type of guy.. I try to follow in his footsteps, and am working on healing at the present time.
I have had some success's with people and animals. Nothing to get me on Larry King Live, but enough to encourage me to continue in my healer quest.
I make no claims to heal people or animals. It is their own immune system that does that. When people tell me they are a healer and they can actually heal other people, I always invite them to go to Children's Hospital with me to liberate some kids from their wheel chairs. That usually shuts them up. lol.
Keep in mind that ALL healing, is done by the patients own immune system, not the healer. A healers tools are primarily used to distract the patient. but sometimes, tools that have been touched by a master hands, have vibrational characteristics that have been known to enhance a persons faith. "It is not me that has healed thee, but thy faith". Although it is possible to realign the spine and other chiropractic techniques to ease pain..but to actually banish a serious disease from a patients body is beyond the power of any 'healer' living today.. can you imagine the superstar status of a person who could actually do that? :o) Although the qi gong healers from China, for instance Dr Effie Chow, amaze me.

I have had the best, materially speaking, that life has to offer, and found it un-fulfilling. I have been wealthy and found it empty. I lived with a Tantric Sex Master for six years, and found nothing of any real value there in spite of having had for six years, the best sex the world has to offer... But being in love is always fulfilling. It stops time. It erases sorrow. It soothes anger. It lifts us up where we belong.
In short, it does the same thing drugs do.. but better. With no side effects. A wise man stays in love, for the withdrawal effects have been known to kill strong people. :o)
Faith is the bird that feels the light while the dawn is still dark.

No good without evil...
No love without hate...
No Heaven without Hell...
No light without darkness...
No girls without money!
Budhha~~
A mother and her son lived high on a mountain over looking a beautiful valley. One day the young boy became angry with his mother and ran outside to the edge of the cliff and yelled....:"I hate you, I hate you." And the echo came back..."I hate you, I hate you." Hearing the echo he ran back inside and told his mother there was a mean person outside that said they hated him. His mother told him to go back outside and yell...."I love you, I love you." Life is like an echo! We often get back what we send out.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
~ Nelson Mandela
"The cure for all ills and wrongs, the cares, the sorrows and the crimes of humanity, all lie in the one word “love”.' It is the divine vitality that everywhere produces and restores life."
"All worldly pursuits have but the one unavoidable end, which is sorrow: acquisitions end in dispersion; buildings in destruction; meetings in separation; births, in death. Knowing this, one should, from the very first, renounce acquisition and heaping up, and building, and meeting; and faithful to the commands of an eminent guru, set about realizing the Truth (which has no birth or death)."

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistake - Mahatma Ghandi
VIOLENCE
I object to violence because when it appear to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is parmanent - Mahatma Ghandi
Victory attained by violence is tantamount to defeat, for it is momentary - Mahatma Ghandi

"Bullfight critics, ranked in rows,
Crowd the enormous plaza full.
But only one is there who knows,
And he’s the man that fights the bull."
Ernest Hemingway~~
Nothing lasts forever. The one who seems to be the one, is only the one for themselves. No matter how loving and true they seem, it is only an illusion. You go to sleep alone, you wake up alone. That is the only truth. You come into this world alone.
You leave the same way.
People don't give their love. They only loan it. And
when your value to them diminishes to the point of
diminishing returns, Adios Amigo. And she walked out of our lives forever.
"In three words I can sum up everything worth saying in life: "I love you."
Somewhere within you is a song… playing softly, always… a song you can hear… only if you're very quiet, and very still… a song of life, and dreams and wisdom… a call to adventure on a path uniquely yours… Take time to listen to the song of your soul..always..

Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

"Problems in relationships occur because each person is concentrating on what is missing in the other person.
When you struggle with your partner, you are struggling with yourself. Every fault you see in them touches a denied weakness in yourself."
