Once upon a time, his friends in elementary school decided that music was their path to greatness (and a way to get out of class). Their plan seemed sound, so Clayton followed along. Little did he know this would begin a lifetime affair with the drums.
Through the many years since that fateful decision, Clayton has been fortunate enough to play with a diverse group of artists in the greater San Diego area. These artists include, but are not limited to: Snapping Turtles, Cactusland, THL, Anchorhead, Pinch Point, Beth Ladwig, Don Everett Pierce, Tim Mudd, Holiday and the Adventure Pop Collective, Scar'd Sanity, Tom Griesgraber, Jen Knight, Roger Anderson, and For Strangers and Wardens.
With roots in marching band and concert band drums and percussion (receiving the John Phiip Sousa Award and Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence), experience in indie, pop, folk, improvisational, and metal music, and an education in anthropology in world music, Clayton (otherwise know as The Frog Like Drummer) is a drummer with a little bit of everything to offer.
Currently living in Oceanside with his wife and son, Clayton is open to whatever playing opportunities come his way as a semi-professional drummer-for-hire.
