| About From Blood to Wine |

From Blood to Wine is a brand new band breaking onto the scene of the central valley. The idea for the band arose during a conversation between two cousins following a show in Los Angeles in January 2008. By February, the band had formed around the collective talents and creative forces of close friends. The FBTW family had officially begun.
A strong rhythm section has been a core ideal to the group from the start. With Olen hitting the drums and Zack man-handling the bass, the bottom end quickly fell into place.
Galen and Chris, the guitarists of the group, have very wide and different tastes in music from one another. Galen draws from a diverse musical background resulting in a style that fuses world music with heavy riffs and unique sounds. Chris brings an equally valuable style rooted in more modern melodies complimented by driving, catchy hooks.
Channeling this creativity together, while sometimes proving a difficult process, has resulted in a successful blend of guitar parts that feed off of eachother and produce an amazing dynamic.
The final addition to the band came in the form of yet another close friend. James, a highly talented vocalist and frontman, added everything that the band needed. Like the missing center-piece to a thousand-part puzzle, James completed the picture. He quickly took the unique qualities of the music and found a way to exploit them to achieve the best result.
With vocals ranging from clean to raspy to screaming, no dynamic is left behind. This enables the entire band to freely expand its creativity when approaching the writing process.
The lyrics cover a wide range of subjects, all of them playing an important roll in the vocalist's life, if not also the lives of the other band members as well.
The final product?
Hard-hitting, spine-rattling rock; each song laced with intense emotion and ear-pleasing melodies while carrying its own unique qualities to make it stand out and differ from the last. Yet collectively the songs tie together and constitute an awesome set.
From Blood to Wine is not bound to any one style or genre. At the end of the day it just comes down to writing good music and putting on one hell of a show. For this band, success is measured by the amount of fun and energy their music and performances bring to other people.
They have great confidence in their capabilities and will push as hard as necessary and do whatever it takes for this project to reach the next level.
So what's next on From Blood to Wine's agenda?
1. Complete a solid set of songs that are not only marketable but also true to ourselves.
2. Complete a demo in a professional environment and not stop until we are completely satisified with the outcome.
3. Continue to build and surround ourselves with a coalition of people that will support our journey.
4. Take the world by storm!
