Bleak January 2005 and 5 disparate individuals with a yearning for savage metal with heart-stopping melodic undertones are left in turmoil. From glorious, emotion fuelled gigs soon to be legendary on the local circuit, dreams had shattered and the sonic roar that had ripped though the Midlands scene had died a death. People had moved on, line ups had changed and once great bands were in tatters. Forced to retreat back to where they had come, these five trailblazers withdrew temporarily from the scene, battered but yet not beaten, to furiously forge new tunes amidst the blizzards of disappointment and plan the next rising.
And it was not long before it came! Taking to the studio after a matter of weeks to record the critically acclaimed 'Initial Impact,' a string of gigs followed as the band began gathering a passionate and dedicated following. Sharing the stage with the likes of Suzy Hope and Meet me in St. Louis, they have wowed the Oxford Zodiac, Coventry Colosseum and Camden Purple Turtle as well as finishing second in a national battle of the bands in the haze of several rounds of competitions, soggy chips and incessant rain in Blackpool. Gaining national recognition in a whole host of podcasts and internet-based radio shows, they have even received recognition from Apple as one of their bands to watch. And with the passing of their first anniversary, things are looking distinctly rosy for FTA... and new CD 'Rise Inside' is a collection of the emotion, passion and metal fury unleashed over the past year. Powerful vocals, flaming riffs and thunderous drums collide in tuneful melody over three blistering tracks - but don't take my word for it - It's time to revitalize your stereo!
