#90's a charm!
Great lively debate- nice to hear Dean give great acting advice to the kids and really clearly laying out the actors process etc.

My Swedish wife has bought the book Let The Right One In before we see the movie!

Go see In Brugues! For god's sake!

Jan 19th- great Pod cast! Why is there not a comment section on the Chillpak official sight? Maybe even a chat room and/or Q & A section?

Great "hour". Felt like an hour and twenty but, hell. No, seriously folks, it was informative and funny.
So informative i have a spoiler alert! Deen blows the fact that the lead character in a film goes through a life changing experience in GHOST TOWN!!

yep i do agree that the internet is very addictive and does take away a part of you in a sense that all these "social networks" are not social at all. people don't even call each other anymore, they txt. so the interaction and actual socializing is replaced with txting and myspace and facebook and msn and whatever.

we are having elections here too in Canada. and lets hope Harper (our canadian version of bush/mccain) does not get more votes. if i could, i'd vote for Obama.

and i do feel very bad for David Duchovny and his family. i hope it all works out well for him and that when he comes out of it he won't be bombarded with too much personal questions about it. it must be tough. must suck to have that level of fame when people in your therapy group are selling your private stories to tabloids. and everyone has a say in it and the right to critisize and joke about it. especially online...because you're not face to face with people...it's easy to say stupid things and not care. and i do agree with artists picking certain roles also because of certain issues they might be dealing with. sometimes it may even be theraputic. or a subconcious thing that you are just drawn too.

people know i like xfiles so everyone i talk too brings it up. it really is amazing how many ppl heard about it. more then they heard about iwtb. then they ask ME about it. -hey did you hear about Duchovny?

anyhoo good podcast as per usual.

that is all.

"Sarah Palin can see Russia from where she lives!"

Lol. I <3 snl.

Ahhh, that thing about 'social networks' not being social is exactly how I feel about them. Yet they're so addictive. And because all your friends and favorite bands/actors/podcast guys are on them you can't NOT use them, you know? They're so ingeniously designed that way.

I hadn't heard about DD having a sex problem but I'm not surprised (hope that doesn't sound bitchy, I don't mean it like *that*). But I hope he's doing better now.
Does Dean still keep in touch with him, ever?

I can't believe you guys actually changed the name! I thought you were kidding, just to humour Cease-And-Desist-Guy... Well I hope he's happy at least. (But I do like the new name so maybe it was a good thing? Hmm...)

God, being grounded from the computer for a month makes you miss out on things. I have been secretly downloading your podcasts when I can and listening to them on my ipod, haha. You guys are going to get me in trouble.

I have a quick question, which is more likely than not, not going to be answered, but does Dean still perform with the Second City in LA? Or other venues around there?

oh and i'm still laughing at Dean's SPF 45! Dean, where were you when everyone was laughing at my vampire skin in Greece? ;(
granted i tanned but no one even noticed 'cause im still pale compared to the normal north american populus. and at the airport in greece kris' aunt was like "you didn't tan?! what did u do all this time? are you sick did you stay inside??"

we need a support group. the laughing and discrimination is hurting our people.

alright i'm done with random posts at weird intervals in turn keeping the Chillpak Hollywdood Hour comment section hostage.

or am i?!!!!!!

i missed you guys and it's nice to hear i'm not the only vampire out there. i am however proud of myself that the sunburn that i got has been soothed and did not last as long or done as much damage as in prior years.

my favorite part: Dean saying "Pokey-man" instead of Pokemon

Eeek that didn't all fit. here's the rest...

Love the pic on the stripy sunbed! Okay I feel like singing you a song...Up on the roof! LOL! - I never tan either but burn well! - You could have put me in your suitcase Dean! You were in my most favourite city in the universe, Vancouver! LOL! - S'okay I'm going with hubby in tow next year! Going to flamin'live there one day! - I liked Stargate so it's cool you met some of the cast especially Richard Dean Anderson. Sorry but 'Starhole' conjours up so many disgusting images! LOL! - You're putting XF Imrov into retirement? That was so much fun! But I'm sure folk will understand if you wish to move on Dean. :-) - Free Shakespeare shows, Phil? Cool! Good to see more and more folk are turing up. I think culture is really making a comeback! - I'm now part of an entertainment project which is going to take folk back into the past in a cafe which is being renovated into a Victorian tea room. It'll be old time music hall style and I'll be singing songs I've always wanted to do. This really is my dream job! - Ah so my suggestion (which I've now forgotten) wasn't A. Erm...? I'll think up some more. - I've always thought Hollyweird was that way...the smiles are false! - I believe we are talking about a certain movie with Believe in the title? LOL! - You're kidding me? They are talking of another Indy movie after that last terrible effort? Sorry but Hollyweird should be laid to rest in my opinion! - Okay I heard that was the last Narnia? NOW they are doing another? I'm not so sure they should. That's another problem with Hollyweird...they do sequels to death! - Deep Impact's story was far better than Armageddon in may ways...more emotionaly realistic characters. - Only thing I liked about 'Cocktail' was the soundtrack! - Admit it guys, movies were better when we were younger.
But didn't they focus more on talent then and not money? - Yeah Phil, go partaaaaaaaay and enjoy! - Oh please no

On another note though, I think that thing you guys were discussing, how the people who didn't like XF2 were focusing on what it wasn't instead of what it was is really true. But I can't help feeling like that's to be expected; after all this time, there's been so much build-up that I'm not sure people would have been satisfied with anything other than the most perfect, amazing film evarrr. Which I've heard is a bit of a challenge to do.. (But then, I am not a filmmaker. So I am pretty much basing that on what I've heard from you two!)

I think the thing about this show is that everyone seemed to fall in love with it for a different reason. I got into it from a far younger age than I think you'd approve of, partly because I knew people wouldn't approve of me watching the show (children have bedtimes you know!) and partly because there's just some kind of magic (I know that sounds cliche but bear with me) that happens when you're watching Mulder and Scully investigate a good scary MOTW with all the lights out. I watched part of season 9 when it was airing, but my favorite thing was when they showed eps from older seasons really late at night, and I swear to god there is nothing on telly that compares to that!

My point being that things have just changed so much since then, the fans have changed, Mulder and Scully have changed, and they killed off my favorite characters from it long ago, that it's really hard not to think about it as what it IS rather than what it isn't. But I'm glad that some people can.

(I need to stop leaving XF2 comments, they are always far longer than I intend them to be. Sorry for this...)
