A performance in two parts combines the heartfelt ballads of Drew Andrews, the cinematic instrumental work of Matt Resovich and the innovative visual concepts of Andy Pates in an evening sure to engage and enthrall fans of The Album Leaf and post-rock/indie enthusiasts alike!
MATT RESOVICH has spent the last six years recording and touring extensively with The Album Leaf and The Blackheart Procession layering wistful strings in a rich tapestry of post-rock and ambient performances. With his solo project, Roll Film, he explores the cinematic quality of the sound experience, conjuring imagery and emotion from the very ether that surrounds us.
DREW ANDREWS is a member of both The Album Leaf and his own band Via Satellite, the latter an award-winning electronic trio from San Diego on Human Highway Records (with MONO, Rob Crow, Explosions in the Sky). Drew's solo music embarks on a more contemplative and melodic endeavor based around finger-picked guitar and intimate, thoughtful vocals.
ANDREW PATES produces emotion filled films and light shows deepening the live experience of shows by The Album Leaf, The Ataris, Languis and Tristeza. Cascading images and light allow the soul of the audience to escape into the music.
THE ALBUM LEAF is the original music of Jimmy Lavalle. The evening's artists consist of the majority of The Album Leaf's live concert band.
