From This Fire is a modern hard rock band with a slight metal-edge that's based in the Tampa Bay Area. Officially forming in 2006, FTF merges the sounds of Metallica-like heavy guitar riffs with the open, filling sound of modern rock acts such as Breaking Benjamin, Seether and Alter Bridge. FTF has always been a musical force in one way or another, being started by the Bell brothers Drew Bell (guitarist) and Brian Bell (bassist) who then later reconvened with band-mate, drummer Gabe Higgins. This lineup brings a highly energetic vibe with the ripping riff-rock guitar licks, coupled with the meaty low end rumble of the bass, which is rightly complimented by an aggressive rock-style drumming. FTF isn't afraid of putting themselves on the hard rock front lines: their lyrics are drenched with brutal honesty. The guys, as individuals, use FTF as their vehicle to deliver their fiery vision with a vibrant passion.
From This Fire is about to independently release their long awaited debut self-titled album. The album is already receiving praise from fans who are able to get a sneak preview on the band's website. Upon release of the album, FTF will be touring in support of it. FTF recently opened up for the national Co-headlining tour of Sick Puppies & HURT in which they impressed bands and fans alike and left the stage to a roaring crowd.
This is a band that isn't afraid to bring heavy rock back from the grave. With swagger and attitude, the band won't shy away from putting their hearts and experiences out in the open. FTF will have every metal-head pumping their fists while staying accessible enough for the casual listener to groove along and memorize the hook by the second chorus. With their debut CD completed, FTF have their sights set on showcasing their sound to a label audience.
Bursting free from all encumbrances, and rising from the ashes of the "former world," FTF stands to become one of the premier rock projects of the now.
