The journey of Frontlines began in the summer of 2006 when Kai Kinnunen and
Marko Jaara decided to create some metal music to please themselves and a whole
group of friends with programmed drums and guitar parts recorded at home in front of a computer.
After couple of newborn songs guys started to wonder if they could be played for
real at a rehearsal space. They took a shot at it and it worked! The songs really came alive.
The first thing they had to do to get things going was to find a bass player. Add was released on
the net and so they found Jussi Lassila who already was a familiar face from the local
heavy metal bar. They managed to have a couple of training sessions but then things went on hold.
Marko had to move to Hattula for six months because of school commitments. So they couldn't play
together for a long time, but Marko and Kai managed to create new songs with the help of modern
day communication gadgets. Half a year passed, training started and so did the search for a vocalist.
In the fall of 2008 after long and frustrating search Simo Järvinen was discovered to fill the vocal slot. Things clicked in both music and chemistry between the guilty parties and so the lineup became complete. Both demos were recorded, mixed and mastered by Jari Niemi with Frontlines. Demo I was released in december 2008 and Demo II in october 2009. Now we are ready to hit the stages!!
£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
