Front Porch has seen it's last days, but Lorne and JJ continue on with all new lineup, new tunes, and new name - GUNS FOR SAN SEBASTIAN. With the addition on Charlie Marvin up front, Paul Hiller on bass, and Matt Kelly on drums the band has been writing songs at a furious pace to get ready for its first gigs in November. Go check us out at www.myspace.com/gunsforsansebastian
Front Porch calls the Bay Area home, and it's music is built on the same eclectic foundation of blues, country, americana and rock n roll that helped to shape the San Francisco sound in the 60's and 70's. Listen closely and you will hear influences like the early Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Mother Hips, White Stripes, Tom Petty, and all of the classic blues artists who were rocking and rolling before it had a name. Though not a jam band, Front Porch leaves plenty of room to take any song to another level on any given night. Catch them now around the Bay Area, and tell a friend.
Front Porch has shared the stage with national touring acts Donovan Frankenreiter, Hawaiian Grammy winner John Cruz, and Malibu rockers Whitestarr, and their tight live show is quickly establishing them as a must see event.
Hi Fellers:
Good to hear from you.
We've been slugging away here - going well.
Would love to catch you at RD but we're playing the Boom Boom Room that night - and I mean "all night!".
Let's hook up for a show soon!
XXX,
K.K.
P.S. - Cahill looks mighty badass in your pics - nice!
You guys are rockin'!!! We opened up for VINYL a couple of weeks ago and I noticed you guys played next door to 19 and Broadway in Fairfax... you're all over the place. Have a good show, tonight!
Nice to see some good music on this site (for a change), and also great to know that ya'll are in SF. I will see if I can't make it out to a show sometime.
Thanks for the add and support. Maybe we can meet up next Friday when we play at Blakes on Telegraph... we go on at 9pm. Hopefully we'll cross paths soon.
