IT'S TRUE I've been around the world, certainly around this country with my music...8 albums and some dozen odd singles, to date...but right now I'm taking a step back and taking it all in. I want to see what's next for me and my life. I'm recently married to an awesome lady and we are going to start our own family. To be real, I'm waiting to see what the boss man upstairs has for me next. If it's to continue in the music then thats what will happen. Obviously he's been with me thus far.
I'm grateful to HIP HOP CONGRESS and all the friends and fans who write me encouraging letters and emails. Many of you know by now that I just got out of the hospital; I almost had a stroke on July 6th, 2009. My left kidney was failing, causing hyper tension and WAY high blood pressure, which was giving me monster migraines and making me sick almost every day. After a week in the hospital I got to come home. Now I'm on disability and forced to take it easy all the time. It's a far cry from the life I'm used to. But my health and strength are returning, with a change of diet and several medications, which I prefer not to take...but what can you do? As for the music, I think I'm going to take some time off and focus on my family, I'd like to travel without the hassle of menstruating tourmates or flakey sponsors; just to travel for travel's sake. I lived the fast live for almost a decade; saw several continents and 31 states...shared the stage with every rapper imaginable...I've "lived it" to the fullest. Now I'm on some grown man sh*t where I want different things. You grow up, and out of sh*t, you know? I'm more into getting to know my creator (and don't be fooled, he's yours too), and myself and my wife. I've got the chance to go to school to be a youth pastor, or maybe I'll re-enlist in the Air Force...we'll see.
The one thing that IS clear is that another, new chapter of my life is upon me...and I feel it's only right to deal with it with more maturity than the preceding ones. God, or the universe, or whatever you choose to call the grand powers that be, has a plan for each of us. I believe that. And I'm no witless lunatic who's checked his brain at the door. On the contrary actually.
It's simple...when we look around and see the intricate, UNREPEATABLE creaTION, it demands there has to have been a creaTOR. Logic 101...that's day 1 stuff.
