Bio
-ENG- Frozen Farmer was formed in 2009. Their songs tell stories on personal life, on present and past experiences about Francesco's journeys in the United States of America, accompanied by an American Folk Music. In November 2011, Frozen Farmer have released their first EP on Ghost Records. Five songs ranging from folk rock to bluegrass and alternative country. Frozen Farmer "EP" got very good reviews on Italian Magazines (Blow Up Magazine: "..it's beatiful to see Midwest coming back..very good riffs.." --Rumore Magazine: "..tied to the roots of American tradition..country style together with Sixteen Horsepower sadness.." --Buscadero Magazine: "..a beautiful EP..lay in my grave sounds like Johnny Cash..highways is like Sixteen Horsepower..Snow is in a Byrds' style..a very good beginning..") and also on Webzines (Shiver: "..an indie folk sensitivity like Mumford and Sons..a great personality.." --Sound Magazine: "..sweet and warm atmosphere..wonderful melodies..a great beginning.." --Dance Like Shaquille O'neal: "..dense arrangements..a lovely work.." --Geeks: "..a folk rock sound..an ep to listen again and again.."). Francesco Scalise and Paolo Grassi are ex members of the Midwest band (with two LP released by Homesleep Records:"Town and Country"-2002,"Whatever you Bring we Sing"-2005--both LPs got wonderful reviews from English and Italian Magazines--Mojo, Uncut, Time Out, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, Blow Up, Rumore, Il Mucchio Selvaggio, Rockerilla..). -
