FEATURED ARTISTS
EDD HEDLEY (Return Visit)
Since being a featured artist on Fruity Loops UK,
Edd has been very busy composing music for
films and dance.
Most recently he completed a trilogy of horror
films for Tedium Pictures and a large project
for LABAN school of contemporary dance.
Through myspace, Edd has managed to
grab the attention of industry professionals
with some promising projects lined up for the
future.
Edd currently uses Fruity Loops as one of his
main tools for producing percussion & manipulating
samples. Rewired through Cubase 4, FL Studio
is an important part of his setup.
He also uses FL Studio as his main weapon of
choice when creating mixes/mashups in the bizarre
world of Cheerleading, and his mixes on FL have been
heard at venues including Emirates Stadium and Wembley
Arena.
Here Is My story.....
name: DJ NIGHTY... came out from my original name "natty galvin" wich i have used on stages where i used to play.
although my name means night but i have made several styles of music that suites the early houres of the morning in beach parties and after parties.
but i didnt neglect the beautiful night music for clubs.
for anybody who didnt understand yet my genere is club/trance :-)
my first experience with electronic music was at the age of 13 when one of my friends told me that he found this new softwere called fruity loops and sins that day i was hooked to the new world of electronic music so i really want to thank my friend for that and i want to thank fruity loops aswell i love it and i will continoue using it allways.
i have used cubase a several times but i never found it easy to use like i find in fruity loops.
this is my 8t'h year that i am using fruity loops and i am sure i will never change my "fruity" with any other softwere.
today i am using only a midi controller because thanks to fruity loops it never seems to get buard and there are endles ways of finding new sounds and palying around with them.
you can here my music on www.myspace.com..djnighty
i hope you enjoy :-)
Keep On Dancing ! ! !
GOOD EGG!
Good egg has been writing electronica for many years. Good Eggs birth name is Andrew Marshall, hailing from Rochdale in Greater Manchester Originally starting out with an Amiga A600 running octaMED using 8 bit samples and a Casio keyboard with 4 MIDI channels and a Yamaha clavinova, I was very into the idea of electronica from an early age. A real Mike Oldfield/Jean Michal Jarre fan, I just loved the idea of recording.
Then along came Cubase, and I got an early demo of Fruity Loops. As soon as I got my own place, I downloaded and bought Fruity Loops 3. First thing that struck me was the ease of use, and absolutely adored using it. The electronica on my site www.myspace.com/goodeggidm is produced solely using FruityLoops and other plugins (such as the brilliant free Moog clone (MiniMogueVA).
I just love the way I can load in audio, and record tracks live.
I have also been in a few bands (currently in a metal band called Rumours Kill ) www.myspace.com/rumourskill, and play violin in Oldham Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy listening to the sounds of Good Egg!
SKILZ
Our first featured artist is the multi talented Skilz www.myspace.com/skillioso You will find him right in the hub of the London Hip Hop scene producing and remixing using Fruity Loops for artists such as S.A.S, Heartless crew, Lethal B and 3Face. His musical talent doesnt stop at Hip Hop, youll also find Garage, Drum n Bass and a few symphonies thrown in for good measure!
If that wasnt enough, Skilz uses FL Studio 6 to teach at the Goldseal Project www.goldsealproject.com who help people with financial or social problems gain accredited creative arts qualifications. Fruity Loops UK are proud to be working closely with Skilz and the Goldseal Project to develop an accredited course in Fruity Loops.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
So what about you? What kind of music do you create with Fruity Loops in the UK? Well, we want to hear it! Were looking for our next featured artists right now.
There is a new upcoming style in 09. Hear our FL mixes as we attempt to break the limits of such awesome software.
o2 creates new genre, progressive Electro, and has began setting the constraints which makes it a separate genre. If you're looking for featured artists, we'd be more than happy to work twice as hard for the position.
(( All demo's were made within 1 - 3 hours, so please don't expect finished tracks. They are yet to come in the later year. For now, enjoy our previews. ))
We use your FL and I must say, it's pure innovative. Love the matrix system, which makes me feel as if the whole program is one vast complexity of a matrix.
