We have run into a wall with our secondary research on even the most basic FTM experiences. So we've decided to conduct another survey and get the answers first hand. These answers will be included in our upcoming Original Guide to FTM Love & Sex. As a community we really do need to stand up and be counted, share our experiences, and help others learn about the issues that affect us all. So if you are an FTM age 18 or older, please take the survey at the link above, and pass it on to your other FTM friends.
Currently most of the books about FTMs are either memoirs (which give a limited view), and academic texts (which aren't appealing or easy-to-read). We want to write the book that we would have wanted early on in our relationship. Something that gives a positive perspective on the transition process, not only identifying the problems an FTM can have in dating and sex, but offering a variety of solutions to those problems.
This project will:
1. Provide answers to common questions that people may have when starting an intimate relationship with an FTM.
2. Help couples with relationship problems, some of which are specific to the man's FTM status.
3. Show couples that they are not alone.
4. Demonstrate the need for more study about the sexual experiences of FTM couples, and more awareness about FTM couples to the world.

I'm playing Mobsters, a MySpace App. It is a weird game, you make a couple of strategic moves a couple times an hour, and them you wait 20 or 30 minutes and then take a couple of more moves. IT is fun. One necessary ingredent to being successful is having other MySpace friends accept my invitation, and become part of my mob.
then that person can either play the game, or simply create a screen name for themselves, and never play again. I know it sounds kinda lame, but it you want to accept my invitation, it would make me stronger in my game. You could have fun playing too. I find it is pretty simple, and doesn't take up much time. If you don’t feel like bothering with it, it is no problem. Thanks for thinking about it.
Pittsburgh photographer Ebba Schmid is currently working on a photography project focused on transgender individuals at various stages of transition. Particularly FTM's, though MTF's and other non-gender-binary type peoples (genderfluid, genderqueer, intersex, etc) are welcome to participate. The exhibit is planned to open in some time 2010, so over the next 2 years Ebba will be working diligently to expand her gallery.
She is tentatively planning a visit to the Metro-Detroit area over a weekend in July or August. A definite date will be given at a later time. Once there is general idea of the number of likely participants etc.
