Formed as a Quintet in 1993, And a Quartet since 1998--original line-up featured Greg Fundis and Chad Sanders from 56 Hope Road! Played Jazz Festivals in Springfield and Ashikaga Japan, and fund-raiser gigs for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.
Frank grew up in Chicago and suburbs, playing guitar as a kid. Picked up the sax in college at SIU-C, playing New York City in the early 80s with David & the Happenings. He has studied with Henry Miles and LA Session player Kim Richmond, and attended clinics with Jeff Clayton (American Idol), Paquito D'Rivera and others. He sang and played sax in a 2008 Jazz Port Townsend Festival performance at The Key City Playhouse.
Chris Miller has many impressive side man credits based on his solid jazz chops, soulful Fender Rhodes and B3 organ sounds. He also performs with the Brian Pryor Jazztet.
Bassist John Peterson went to Berklee College’s Jazz Program, then played with funk and jam bands, and is in Springfield Hip Hop kings Gypsy Collabo.
Drummer Dion Doss, who plays with Frank in the Blues Expressions and also with Kapitol Soundz R&B/Soul band, is a young drummer who brings fresh and skilled musical talent to the Quartet.
