just about to quit just about everything, 2 of us found each other in a room... case 'o beer deep... facing one another... locked in... volume dial crancked to ten, then broke the knob off. a 3rd friend was there for good time spent... he had to go elsewhere, without return to jail. another right-on fella' fell into place, a bit down the line. came along, and is here to stay.

'least we'll get there together. right now, stuck in fucking philthadelphia, pennsy. recent events have one o the initial two taking a seat and moving on in life, to new days. 'ol time buddy just jumped behind the kit and is the new rhythmbeater for jail. we talked about dirtin' the stage/basements out together for over a year now, in various different projects... the time has risen. just so happens it rose in this here setting. oddly enough, it also just so happens he is gone quicker than he came along. another layer stripped, and time to find new rhythm for this little 'ole band. cheers to the layers that had to leave. roamin' the soilstage with us for awhile was a mystikal little guitwitch, flyin' on in from her current prarie. time came and gone maybe to cum again? we miss this miss hummingbird. sincer her parting way, rhythmsetter b was bailed out just the damn same. tis a shame. now, toting colt 45 in hand, along came a third spider to hit them skins beside er, the glorious jail. spinning whirlwind door. lets all ride on together. not to mention, here's to having ridden at all.
1 cup Apple cider 1 cup Sugar 1/4 cup Solid vegetable shortening 2 large Eggs 1/2 cup Buttermilk 3 1/2 cup All-purpose flour 2 tsp. Baking powder 1 tsp.Baking soda 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon 1/2 tsp. Salt 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg Vegetable oil or shortening -for frying
1 cup cinnamon-sugar mixed
Boil apple cider in small saucepan until it is reduced to 1/4 cup, 8 to 10 minutes; cool. Beat sugar with shortening until smooth. Add eggs and mix well, then add buttermilk and reduced cider. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in another bowl. Add to liquid ingredients; mix just enough to combine. Transfer dough to lightly floured board and pat to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2- to 3-inch doughnut cutter; reserve doughnut holes and reroll and cut scraps. Add enough oil or shortening to fill a deep pan 3 inches; heat to 375'F. Fry several doughnuts at a time, turning once or twice, until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes. Remove to paper towels with slotted spoon. While still warm, shake a few at a time in a paper bag containing cinnamon sugar. Cool on a rack.
