Elias James Sworn (Lee) is one of the first Black Metal Artist to rise from South Texas in the late 90's and reach success with South Texas Black Metal pioneers, OF FORSAKEN DIVINITY (1999-2009). Of Forsaken Divinity was established in the "OLD SCENE" and has since gone truly underground. Even though OFD only released 1 CD "Averse Empyrean" in 2002, OFD managed to gather global attention through various mediums and generate a HUGE fan base in the deep black heart of Texas. OFD was the first and will be the last.
The Sworn solo project was conceived in late winter of 2003. Since then Sworn has become a true South Texas underground artist. No live shows and rarely seen. All though no longer consistent with the local metal scene, Sworn is still very much alive in the dark crevices of his own mind writing and producing albums under various record labels around the United States. Sworn has worked with many South Texas Musicians and is now working on film scores for underground horror movies. Sworn continues to work meticulously on his craft. Perfecting a new sound and refusing to follow the trends of the local "scene". Politically motivated and disgusted by Religion, the music composed by Sworn is razor sharp and venomus. These endeavors are ultimate statements of song and art in the pursuit of free thinking.
