All-girl punk-rock-rap band SHIRAGIRL, infamous for crashing the Warped Tour back in 2004, is set to play in Jacksonville at FUEL next Thursday, January 15th, 9pm, in support of their upcoming new album Scream! Spit! Sing! The Escape the WinTOUR will pair Shiragirl with underground stars Screaming Mechanical Brain of Minneapolis and rap/rockers gONNA gET gOT, also of Brooklyn. Local openers include RUBBING DOWN DEBBIE AND HEAVY FLOW.
Tour announcements follow on the heels of the band’s involvement with Season 21 of MTV’s The Real World: Brooklyn. SHIRAGIRL collaborated with cast member Devyn Simone on the performance of the highly anticipated single “Roll w/ tha Crew.” Look out for Shiragirl to represent the Brooklyn music scene on future episodes.
