Fugatar Biography: Born in 2004, Fugatar's primal sound is as distinct
as it is intense. Fugatar is the musical project of artist Felipe Barral Momberg. His band creates and re-creates his musical compositions both for solo and band projects. His vision defies the world of endless bands that sounds identical with one another bringing a new life to the rock scene with a music that comes from a wide-ranging variety of musical styles. Fugatar has a full-bodied sound. There's a pulse in Fugatar's heart that gets louder in songs that roars the voice of human's life. Fugatar’s soul is music, art & poetry. The band creates a powerfull mix of ominous guitars and frantic bursts of intensity coming to life in a perfect union. Guitarist/vocalist Felipe Barral Momberg brings to life the poetic and creative force of his own vision. He writes all the music & lyrics, delivering a music full of imagination. In 1999 Felipe Barral Momberg released "Nosferatu", the soundtrack he composed specially for the classic silent movie Nosferatu by F.W. Murnau (1922). His band Fugatar has been playing the soundtrack live since then. But after he moved to the United States in 2001, he began writing the songs that are part now of Fugatar’s repertoire. Fugatar Name: The "Fugatar" name comes from a short-story book -unpublished- that wrote Barral-Momberg some years ago. The word itself arose from putting together two Spanish words: "fuga" -fugue- and "atar" -to tie-, denoting the condition of the existence that puts us in the event, tied to the life from which sometimes we want to escape, but of which we cannot flee. So, Fugatar becomes the full circle of life and death.
