Fula are proud to announce the return to the band after an 11 year absence vocalist Nadeen Plumtree
About Fula
Fula have existed in one form or another since 1995 when founder members, Rob Gould, Nigel Moss, Jason Gilman and Nadeen Plumtree recorded their debut album, Songs From Beyond the Merrygolight. Since, then they have honed their sound and experimented with their audience. After long periods of writing and recording music, the band started to take the music to the public. In 1998, they performed a series of gigs around their hometown area, developing a strong local following. In 1999, they took the gigs a stage further, and found a place on the Manchester showcase circuit. Here they really developed their stagecraft as they entertained and unnerved audiences at such legendary venues as The Band on the Wall, The Roadhouse and Night & Day.
Later that year, the band recorded and released a 14 Track CD. Called 'Dark Matter', it was well received by fans and critics alike. Critical comments included 'Simply awesome', 'A rollercoaster of emotions', 'Exquisite keyboards... sublime guitar', 'Mere words are not enough'. Tracks from the CD have been played on BBC Radio , as well as radio stations in Poland, Brazil and The United States. More gigs followed, with Cambridge, Manchester and Liverpool universities being added to the list of venues played.
In the year 2000, Fula started recording a follow-up to Dark Matter, and performed a number of gigs in the UK, and entertained the Classic Rock Society in Rotherham. By 2002, the new album was complete and "The Beautiful, The Delicate and The True" was released.
In 2003, Fula scooped a Classic Rock Society award for best performance. 2003 also saw their debut album, "Songs From Boyond the Merrygolight", available on cd for the first time.
Although the band has seen many line up changes over the years, ever presents Rob Gould and Nigel Moss , new members John Patterson, from Brazil, Mr.Eduardo Capella and returning after an absence of 11 years, vocalist Nadeen Plumtree keep the Fula flag flying today, and a new Fula album is in the pipeline for 2009
