Bitter cocktail productions presents a one-night-only engagement of Full House, Live!, a campy, drunken romp through the lives of everyone’s favorite mother-less family. Watch the Tanners live on stage as they perform two classic episodes of the sitcom and recreate some of the finest, most touching moments in television history. D.J. is feeling a bit too flabby for Kimmy's birthday pool party and decides that operation starvation is the only way to look her best in a bathing suit. Stephanie finds out that the girls at junior high are high rollers when passed a cig in the bathroom- watch as she learns to just say nay!
“Audience members should be prepared for a twisted, fun night, because some of us will be in drag and there will be a band playing the theme song as well as serving as the laugh track,” said director Damian Bellino. “Michelle jumps into cake. Joey and Kimmy make zero sense. Rebecca is an uber bitch and more. Similar to post-modern productions like ‘The Real Live Brady Bunch’ we will be recreating similar blocking and staging with the original scripts but hamming up the campiness. That means that all weird sexual tension between Uncle Jesse and Michelle will really be exploited to make the audience cringe. Think lots of Eskimo kisses.”
Known for caustic humor and a warped perception of the mundane, Bitter Cocktail Productions is the brainchild of native New Yorkers JJ Orgera and Damian Bellino. Past successful productions include You, With the Rotundo Face! and Showstopper: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Tori Finkelstein. They will be returning to New York City this fall, where their next production will be the world premiere of The Family Album.
