Thought-provoking lyrics. Gut-wrenching guitar riffs. Pitch perfect vocal harmonies. Rumbling bass and explosive drum beats... Since bursting onto the scene in 2006 as winners of the Vancouver SEEDS competition, Fully Loaded’s brand of straight ahead rock has made them one of Vancouver’s most popular independent rock bands.
Singer/songwriting brothers Mike and Andrew Twining found a natural chemistry which begat a knack for writing catchy pop rock anthems. Wanting to expand on their and shared vision of becoming a top Canadian songwriting team, they set out to put together a bass- drums- guitar rock band.
With the addition of Chris Ball (Bass) and Jovan(Drums) in 2005, Fully Loaded was born. The quartet immediately set out to break out of their garage band status, with their eyes fixed on becoming a national act.
Their first break was a spot on Vancouver rock radio station CFOX’ prestigious 2006 SEEDS compilation, which spawned the local hit "When Will It End". Soon after winning SEEDS, the group released their independent self-titled EP, and won Music BC’s "Songwriter of the Year" Award.
Fully Loaded’s success to date reflects the group's keen work ethic and determination;
They have performed over 100 concerts, festivals and showcases including: Canadian Music Week, New Music West, Western Canadian Music Awards, the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival and a Vancouver Whitecaps game at BC Place Stadium.
They have shared the stage with Billy Talent, Sum 41, Theory of a Deadman, Danko Jones, and State of Shock.
They have earned rock radio spins across Canada, building a solid foundation of supporters both 'within the industry' and fandom.
Set to enter 2009 with a smashing new record, the 6 song sophmore release "Inside My Head" was recorded at Vancouver’s Mushroom Studio with producers Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter, State of Shock) and Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith).
With the first single, 'Honestly' picking up momentum at Radio across the country and generating thousands of myspace plays, Fully Loaded are set to take the next step towards national by taking their show on the road.
