My latest projects for 2008 include a book called "Created and Produced by Total TeleVision: The Story of Underdog, Tennessee Tuxedo & the Rest" for BearManor Media, an article on Gene Deitch for Hogan's Alley magazine, and an article on Astro Boy for Back Issue magazine.
The TTV book is my third book and is due out in late 2008, or early 2009!!
I'm working on my second book now. It will be about The Beatles, so if you are a Beatles fan, join Mark Arnold Reviews The Beatles. By the way, I am looking for artists to do both cartoony and realistic drawings and paintings of The Beatles for the book. Everyone's contribution that's used will receive a free copy of the book when it's published, so contact me if you're interested. I am not sure of the exact date of publication, as I am writing the book in my spare time, of which I have none, but please contact me all the same if interested.
Feel free to add me. To quote Austin Powers, "I won't bite...hard!"
Whew!
BTW, I am single and looking, so if you are interested, please drop me a line. I am looking for someone who could evolve into a relationship. I like all types but prefer taller (5'7" and up)(I'm 5'11"), slimmer women (a few extra pounds are ok), with a pretty face and features, roughly between the ages of 27-47. Single only please and preferably no kids. I like smarter women who can be silly or goofy, but have a sense of class, elegance and sensuality, and can accept me for who I am (nice, friendly, blunt, sarcastic, witty, casual, etc.). Hope to hear from you soon!
-Mark.
Who I'd like to meet: Who haven't I met? Working with my friend Dane Andrew doing celebrity interviews all of these years has allowed me to meet many of my favorite people (too many to list here and many that have since passed away, like Bob Hope). However, there are still a few I'd like to meet before I go shuffling off... To name a few that I HAVEN'T met: Andy Griffith, Albert Brooks, Mel Brooks, Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Jerry Lewis, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Kurt Russell, Dean Jones, Christopher Lee, Carol Burnett, Vicki Lawrence, Conan O'Brien, Bob Elliot, Dana Gould, Dave Attell, Bob Newhart, etc... and although I have seen them in performance, I have not MET them face to face: Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Martin Mull, George Carlin, etc...
Congratulations! You've managed to keep your new job for more than a month! In two more months you can get benefits and get that sex change operation you've been wanting... I'm so proud of you mijo, my ho, my son!
