    El grupo Fungus nace en Vicálvaro (Madrid) en 2001, influenciados por el sonido Stoner (grupos como Dozer, Fumanchu, Nebula y sobre todo, los pioneros en este sonido: Kyuss). Desde ese punto de partida, el sonido de Fungus ha ido explorando los interminables matices del rock. En 2005 graban su primera maqueta "Lost in a lonely planet", y sus directos les llevan por casi todas las salas madrileñas llegando a telonear a Los Natas (Argentina). En 2007 graban "Psychonaut" (más psicodelia y riffts stoner, e incluso un tema cantado en castellano) que junto a una versión de Black Sabbath sale como disco autoeditado. En 2008 pasan a ser trío, y el sonido Fungus evoluciona en un sentido más directo y contundente. Con más ganas aún salen a la carretera tocando por media España junto a infinidad de bandas underground, como La Ira de Dios (Perú), Arenna, Glow, Craneon, El Páramo, Viaje a 800, Desguace Beni, Sequence the Silence, Jolly Roger, Kate Möss, Dixon II, Chivo, Twin Hands, Anyday, Mainground, Positiva, Southern Weapon, Geller Project, Feuerzeug (Suiza)... El disco se distribuye por Europa, (con Kozmic de Alemania o participando en recopilatorios como Droning Earth Vol. 7 Stoner Edition de Finlandia), finalistas del concurso Converse para tocar en el Azkena Rock, participan en un tibuto a Venom con Ogro Records y son fichados por el mítico sello Poison Tree Digital (California) con lo que ahora lo tienes disponible en iTunes. Actualmente la banda pasa a ser quinteto incorporando teclado y nuevo vocalista. Estan trabajando en los temas de su segundo disco que pretende salir en 2011 y tocando, tocando y tocando allá donde pueden. Quizá con un poco de suerte puedas verlos... ********************SOMETHING LIKE ENGLISH: The band was founded in Vicalvaro (Madrid) in 2001, influenced by the sound Stoner (bands like Dozer, Fumanchu, Nebula and above all, the pioneers of this sound: Kyuss). From that starting point, the sound of Fungus have explored the endless shades of rock. In 2005 recorded their first demo "Lost in a lonely planet", and lead them directly for almost every venues in Madrid, until cover to Los Natas (Argentina). In 2007 they recorded "Psychonaut" (more psychedelic riffts and stoner, and even a track sung in Spanish) that along with a version of Black Sabbath album comes off as self-published. In 2008 Fungus become a trio, and the sound develops in a more direct and forceful. With more desire yet to leave the road and playing for half of Spain with plenty of underground bands such as La Ira de Dios (Peru), Arenna, Glow, Craneón, El Páramo, Viaje a 800, Desguace Beni, Sequence the Silence, Jolly Roger, Kate Moss, Dixon II, Chivo, Twin Hands, Anyday, Mainground, Positiva, Southern Weapon, Geller Project, Feuerzeug (Switzerland) ... The album is distributed in Europe (with Kozmik of Germany, or take part in compilations such as Droning Earth Vol 7 Stone Edition of Finland), Converse's contest finalists to play at Azkena Rock, participating in a Venom Tribute with Ogro Records and are signed to the legendary label Poison Tree Digital (California) so that now you have it available on iTunes. Now the band are five members with new singer and keyboard player and are working on the songs of their second album which seeks out in 2011 and playing, playing and playing wherever they can. Maybe with a little of luck, you can see them ... rock on!!
