Welcome to the Official myspace page for the Live Music Band and Production Team - Funk For The Soul.
Funk For The Soul is about combining current music trends with the musicianship of the old skool. We combine futuristic and innovative music with the musicianship of the old school. This is what makes Funk For The Soul that bit different – the ability to make current and new synth based music and then strip that down with live instruments to bring out the soul of the song. Expect to hear afrobeat, soul, hiphop, house and everything in between, all with two crucial ingredients: Funk and Soul.
We aim to make quality, timeless music which is not restricted by musical boundaries. We love being in the studio and creating something which will eventually be heard and appreciated, even to the point where the music is able to positively influence other people. We also love being on stage and rocking out as a LIVE BAND!!
Funk For The Soul are working closely with the amazingly talented and soulful singer Soneni (www.sonenimusic.com). Together we have been performing and working as 'Soneni & Funk For The Soul'. Check out the debut single entitled ‘StarStruck’, described as a ’sublime piece of soulful house’ by BBC 1xtra DJ Ras Kwame. The CD release includes the soulful house version and the Live Band mix. We have been out and about performing with Soneni and there has been a great response. If you would like us to perform at your event contact us via the details below! StarStruck is out now and available to download from iTunes and Amazon, the full CD release includes a live band version of ‘StarStruck’ and a funky house banger called ‘Fly So High’.

We not really a crew, there's only two of us there lol. I've been djing for a while but kind of stopped whilst at uni, no equipment. Elijah started djing within the past year. Started to get fully involved over summer building connects etc, about who you know moretime. Not easy though!! Nothing is lol.
